Volkswagen recently used a technology twist to create a unique example of the dangers of mobile phone use while driving. The example comes from a MCL Cinema movie theater in Hong Kong as moviegoers settle in for a show. Watch for yourself.

Other stop distracted driving ads have been used recently, including this very intense one in April, 2014 by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with the slogan
U Drive. U Text. U Pay.

The video’s description states:

Thousands of people die every year in crashes related to distracted driving.
That’s why cops are out looking for people who text while driving, and that’s why they write tickets — to save lives.
Remember, U Drive. U Text. U Pay.

The NHTSA reports an estimated 3,328 people were killed and 421,000 were injured in crashes caused by distracted driving in 2012.
